AUSTRALIA: LIFTING OF 1,200 T HEAVIES REMOVAL COLUMN (HRC) FOR "PLUTO TRAIN 2" PROJECT!
The Alevro (Fagioli – Monadelphous J.V.) and Bechtel teams recently completed the successful installation of the Heavies Removal Column (HRC) at Pluto Train 2, marking a major milestone for the project's progress. Using a Tower Lift System (TLS) and a 1,600t capacity crawler crane, the HRC stands tall at 42.6m and weighs a whopping 1,200t, making a significant mark on the site skyline.
The meticulous planning for this feat began over a year ago, with over 3,000 hrs of engineering to tailor the TLS to the project's unique needs. Every detail was analyzed to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and local regulations, demonstrating the teams unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
From the mobilization of equipment from across the globe to the intricate coordination during the 11hr upending operation, every step was a testament to teamwork and expertise. Great Job!
