INFORMATION ON COOKIES

What are cookies?
As clarified by the Privacy Guarantor in its FAQ of 8th of May 2014, cookies are “small text files” – made up of letters and numbers – “that sites visited by the user send to his terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites the next time the same user visits”. Cookies have the function of streamlining web traffic analysis or signaling when a specific site or part of a site is visited, distinguishing between visitors in order to provide personalized content, and helping administrators to improve the site and the user’s browsing experience. Through cookies we cannot access any other information stored on your device, even if that is where the cookies are downloaded. Cookies cannot load code of any kind, carry viruses or malware and are not harmful to your terminal equipment.

Below you can find all the information about the cookies installed through this site, and the necessary guidance on how to manage your preferences in this respect.

User consent to the use of cookies.
When you first visit any page on the Site, you will see an information banner on the use of cookies that will allow you to manage your installation preferences (consent).

The Site remembers the choice made by the user, so the short information will not be repeated on subsequent links from the same device.

However, the user always has the possibility of revoking all or part of the consent already expressed through the appropriate link accessible in the footer of the site. If you encounter technical problems with the provision of consent, please contact us through the appropriate channels on this site so that we can provide you with assistance.

Duration of cookies
Cookies can be:

- session, cookies that are stored persistently on the user’s computer and are deleted when the browser is closed, they are strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers necessary to allow the safe and efficient exploration of the site avoiding the use of other IT techniques potentially prejudicial to the privacy of users’ browsing;
- persistent, cookies that remain stored on the computer’s hard disk until they expire or are deleted by users/visitors. Through persistent cookies, visitors accessing the site (or any other users using the same computer) are automatically recognised each time they visit. Visitors can set their computer’s browser to accept/reject all cookies or to display a warning each time a cookie is proposed, so that they can decide whether or not to accept it. The user may, however, change the default configuration and disable cookies (i.e. block them permanently) by setting the highest level of protection.

Types of cookies
Cookies can be:

  • first-party, i.e. cookies that show this website as the domain;
  • third-party, i.e. cookies that relate to external domains. Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external party, always referred to as a ‘third party’, not managed by Fagioli S.p.A.. To manage third-party cookies you will need to refer to the relative management methods determined by the third parties themselves.

On Fagioli S.p.A. site there are “social buttons” that allow you to directly access social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. By accessing the aforementioned social networks, Fagioli SpA will no longer have any management of third-party cookies and information on the use of third-party cookies and their purposes, as well as on the methods for deactivating them. The deactivating action is directly provided by third parties on their sites.

Nature of cookies
For what concerns the nature of cookies, there are different types:

  • Technical cookies: these cookies are used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service clearly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see Art. 122, para. 1 of the Privacy Code). They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into:
    • - navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); they are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the site;
    • - analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the site;
    • - functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same. The installation of such cookies does not require the users’ prior consent.
    • Profiling cookies: these are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when browsing the web. The consent of the person concerned is required for the use of profiling cookies. In the case of third-party cookies, the site has no direct control over the individual cookies and cannot control them (it can neither install them directly nor delete them). However, you can manage these cookies through your browser settings indicated in the “Cookie Management” section.
    • Management of cookies – how to disable them
      The user can change their preferences by clicking on the link at the bottom of the site "Change cookie preferences" at any time. Otherwise, the User can refuse the use of cookies by disabling them directly from his browser. Below is the link to the configuration panels of some known browsers:
