Engineering, weighing , sea transport activity

Fagioli scope of work was to execute the weighing operation and sea transport of a Ship Unloader from Poland to Algeria.  The purpose of the weighing operation was to define the real weight of the SUL and the location of the centre of gravity. For the weighing operation Fagioli used a load cell weighing system supported by dedicated steel beams and stools. Main components were no. 8 load cells, placed on no. 8 x  600 t hydraulic jacks which allowed the  lift and weighing operations of the SUL. The whole system was remotely controlled. The Ship unloader weight was about 1,293 ton. After weighing operations, the SUL was loaded onto a dedicated geared H/L Ship. Fagioli was also involved for the engineering design of grillage, and sea fastening onto ship deck.
