Fagioli designed and manufactured tailor made skid shoes (1,000 ton each capacity) with a total capacity of 64,000 ton
FAGIOLI S.P.A. developed an innovative solution for the lifting, skidding and installation of heavy items. The system is a combination of skidding equipment and elevator system which has been developed by Fagioli engineering department. The in-house solutions proposed are tailor made, in accordance to the clients requirements under the safety and quality requirements. The system shows an impressive lifting capacity supported by some sophisticated and state-of-the-art components.
SKIDDING SYSTEM WITH CAPACITY UP TO 64,000 TON
The Floating Skid shoes have a capacity up to 1000 more metric ton each and are powered by Diesel power packs.
The skid shoes operate on tracks and are controlled by a computer system
ELEVATOR SYSTEM WITH CAPACITY UP TO 20,000 TON
The elevator system is a special designed system composed by several main components.
The main components are the lifting towers, the elevator girders, the cantilever beams connected to the concrete structure, the lifting strand jacks and the skid shoes.
The elevator girders are modular and can be assembled in different length.
The elevator system is able to control the loads and displacements during all the phases of the lifting by means of a computer system.
The module is moved toward the elevator system than the module is skidded on elevator girders and positioned on skid shoes. Eventually the elevator girders are lifted till the top of the concrete base structure and the module is moved to its final position and lowered on its support.
Used in joint combination with specially made elevator system, Fagioli are able to lift and skid pieces up to several thousands ton at a height more than 50 mts
